I suggest looking into Joel G's ENA series on youtube.
The style of your game and his is very similar.
I think Implementing an animation importer, texture editer, and/or npc interaction (along with a system for implementing npcs) would be great if you haven't already done that. I would pay for that
If only I had a credit card
I'd like to buy it... but it just doesn't seem to have enough features for $5. I'll keep an eye on this, though. It has potential.
